Overview
Polokwane will offer visitors and residents safe and easily accessible public transport during the 2010 FIFA World Cup™. Rail, bus and other existing services will cater for a wide variety of transport requirements, and will ensure that the Peter Mokaba Stadium and the FIFA Fan Fest™ in Suid Street are adequately served.
Event-related services will be added to the regular public transport system i.e. an airport shuttle to the Polokwane International Airport and stadium shuttles from the Central Transport Hub, Park n Ride sites and the Railway Station. Polokwane’s inner city will be served by an inner city transport service.
Fan Park
The fan park in Polokwane will be at the Polokwane Cricket Club at 126 Suid Street and can hold around 30 000 fans. It will be open from 10am on match days.

Polokwane is often described as a vibrant, busy and colourful wonderland in a sea of grasslands, surrounded by scenic mountains. Polokwane is situated at the centre of the Limpopo province and is surrounded by three of South Africa's neighbours: Botswana, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. It is the economic and cultural hub of Limpopo and is attracting investments into the province. Polokwane, which means 'place of safety', was previously known as Pietersburg.
